Up early this morning with the sun, to get packed up and horses loaded to head to the Gippsalnd team penning event at Sale, left home around 11:30 and the traffic was COVID crazy. Set up camp and chilled for the avo, had happy hour with the camp next door, Sas and Cal got in around 7:30, burgers for tea and a few more drinks around the fire pot 🤓🤓Læs mere
Up early this morning to a nice day, Teresa and Sas had plenty of time to warm up the boys as their runs were late in the list, the cows were very sticky and presented quite a challenge to all, after the 4 runs the girls managed to pen 3 and 1, pretty good overall was a tough day for most. Jane and Pete arrived just after lunch, then Kane and Jack, they set up camp across the way from us, the last member of the camp, Mel arrived just in time to see the 2 afternoon runs. Cranked up the fire pot and had a great night sipping a few bevies and listening to tunes, weather was a bit ordinary with the odd shower. 🤓🤓🥃🥃Læs mere
What a night we had with the kids and our great friends, finally made it to bed around 1, poor Mel was out of the swag at 5 and off to work, now that is dedication for ya on a Sunday morning, wasn’t much longer and we were up at 7, coffee, tea, bacon and eggs was the go for the morning, surprising Jane was very well after her Midori drinking, go Jane!!.
Saddled up the boys and off to the ranch sorting, 2 runs which didn’t go so well but the girls did a great job and Leroy excelled, was all done by 12:30 and we packed up and hit the road and was home by 2pm.
What a fantastic 3 days we had at Sale, big thanks to Sas & Cal for all the help with everything and our friends, Mel, Jane, Pete, Kane and little Jack for making the weekend super fun, thanks guys 👍👍🤓😊Læs mere
