Boundary Bay (CZBB), BC

The next leg was to Drayton Valley, AB to visit my brother. I had been watching the weather over the last few days looking for the best opportunity...it is always a challenge to find adequate flying weather, in Vancouver over one of the available routes through the mountains simultaneously.

For a while, Saturday looked like it might work. When talking with a weather briefer Thursday, it became clear that the best possibility, for perhaps a week, of making all the way through was probably Friday afternoon... now.

My Mission is to go beyond Hope, take the Coquihalla Highway to Kamloops, north to Valemount, then east by Jasper to Embarras.Read more
