Day 5 Fri Lay Day….

Today was pretty much a lay day not doing much at all….we helped Tim take Phoenix for his walk….John got to do some Geocaching and found some he could actually log them….
On both walks we have been on we have seen these rather deep holes in the tree trunks….it would seem the tiny but very efficient little birds The Woodpecker has been very busy…. The holes are quite deep and a good width of about 5-10cm wide….unreal how they manage with that little beak working their way into the tree trunks….don’t worry as soon as they are made I am sure other little creatures take over the holes for homes….so they are 2 fold….

After our walk Tim and Jess had to go out so we did Phoenix sitting….He was perfect for us….Tim made Bahn Meh a Vietnamese roll for lunch….very tasty indeed…Then he had to Phoenix to the Vet he has been limping on his back right leg so Tim felt it needed investigating…..They feel it’s been stresses so he is in anti inflammatory for a week and no Doggy Daycare for a bit to let it rest….

Tim then came back and took us to get some supplies of Coffee, Alcohol 🍺 🍷 and another pair of long leggings for myself….( really you say she bought 2 suitcases)
I put 2 pair in from the offset of the trip….but with so much else on I took them out at the last minute telling myself how silly I was taking 2 pair,.,,well not so silly as it’s the best form of clothing for travel….and doggy sitting…Phoenix lives to snuggle in my lap and I find the leggings the easiest cloths to wear when he does this…. The pair I bought at home for $7.50 from Kmart are brilliant fit like a glove and the material is so soft….the pair here the cheapest I could find at a cheap shop is $25 and yep I keep thinking I am a big girl so got them a size bigger and well they are a bit on the larger size.. too bad I took the price off forgetting if I was to take them back it had to stay on silly me…. Well it is what it is…now Phoenix can snuggle…..

The Alcohol shop Tim took us too is Government Run, so they keep the prices set different than independent ones apparently…..Grog is definitely a bit cheaper at home and Dan’s, BWS etc have such amazing choices to here….again we are very spoilt or over indulged with the choices we have at home….

Tim and Jess cooked the most perfect Beef Roast with a great salad, warmed potato 🥔 salad and condiments for dinner….We finished up with our last 2 episodes of Around the World in 80 Days…… great pic to watch…then onto the newest series of Obi One Kenobi with Ewen McGregor…..and yep worth the watch also….plenty more to see when they resales more episodes…
The day was finished with John finally getting his Covid Results back NEGATIVE….phew….not that he thought he had it but it is still Good to get the results of a NEG back….my goodness it was a difficult slow process, compared to what we did before we headed to Thailand from Australia and in Thailand the whole process was quick efficient and results fast….Hmmmm you have to wonder….
