    Edwin Fox lays claim to a string of astounding facts:
    - oldest merchant ship in the world
    - 9th oldest ship in the world
    - built 1853
    - only surviving Australian convict ship out of 1040 ships
    - oldest surviving NZ immigrant ship
    - carried troops to the Crimean War

    Walked the ship hulk where the construction was self evident. This thing is huge compared to other old wooden sea-going ships we've seen. Columbus' Santa Maria seemed small by comparison.    Read more
