From Ushuaia we took a train ride to the end of the world! Train was first built for convicts. Quaint 1 hr trip into the Tierra del Fuego park and back.

Despite lots of rain we took a tour with a taxi around the area. Looks like a very new tourist area but well worth it. Went to Virgin Falls ... apparently assocoated with the Virgin Mary. Also saw Czytaj więcej

A wonderful collection of colorful little fishing boats and fishing people. Great food from little kiosks in the beach, bread baked with open fire, and a hive of activity in the early evening.

Diablo Coal Mine

We walked 100m down into this old mine, with Pablo, Pauli and the family, to see what it was like as a miner. No thanks! As low as about 1m in places and damp. Children as young as 7 had worked the Czytaj więcej

A movie set based at this mine. Reconstructed village with shops and houses, exactly as they were in the actual village 100+ yrs ago. Poor living to say the least...but very interesting!
