Made a navigational error as soon as I left my pitch today. I began walking downhill on an obvious track. After 200 yards checked the OS map on my device and discovered I should have stayed on top and followed the fence line. I might have known that Tony Drake, author of the Cambrian Way route, would keep the route high if he could.

After crossing a few hilltop fields the route went through gate in attached photograph and into a forest.Read more
