• D29- Foncebadon to Molinaseca 19.3km

Walked 554.6km (334.6miles). 212.4km (132 miles) to go. Today was hard on the hips and knees. After leaving Albergue Monte Irago we had a slow ascent to the Cruz de Ferro, an iron cross at the highest point on the French way between Foncebaden and Manjarin. It is tradition for pilgrims to bring a stone from home and place it on the pile below the cross. From this point we start our descent to Manjarin. The town no longer exists but there is a food and coffee truck that is permanently set up. We then have a rocky descent into El Acebo where we stopped for an early lunch. The last past of the descent was very rocky and very steep in places. The wild flowers are just beautiful and follow us the whole time. Just after Riego de Ambros there was a lovely lady with a stall set up with lots of fruits. We had some delicious juicy melon that really went down well. By the time we reached Molinaseca my left hip was aching from all the rocky uneven ground. We showered, dressed and went out for a bite to eat and put our feet in the fast flowing water which was freezing but soothed our feet.Okumaya devam et
