D30- Molinaseca to Camponaraya 19km

Walked 573km (356 miles) so far. 194.8km (121 miles ) to go. Nice easy walk today, a lot of street walking through towns and on the sides of roads between towns. Stopped off in Ponferrada where Garry, Simon and John visited the Templars Castle of Ponferrada, built in the 12th century. While the boys were looking around the castle Chris, Kate and I went to the square and had breakfast. We then had a look in the church and walked to the next square where the police were doing a demonstration with young police dogs. Towns we passed through today were Campo, Compostilla, Columbrianos and Fuentes Nuevas. Just before Camponaraya we came across a wild cherry tree and had a small feast on cherries. We stayed in the Albergue La Medina, lovely hosts and beautiful garden with deck chairs to relax out the back.Leia mais
