D36- Sarria to Portomarin 21.5 km

Lovely walk through many farming communities, a few looked run down with many inhabitable, while others were quite prosperous. Many with cattle and beautiful vegetable gardens. It was a wet day today so pretty much had our ponchos on all day, although it did brighten up for the last hour or two so we were all dry by the time we got to Portomarín. The trail was busier today as many people start in Sarria and do the last 100kms. The Albergue Casona Ponte, where we are staying is quite new and very nice but there are hoards of young school leavers in the next dormitory to ours and so far they have been quite noisy.Read more
