Day 8 - Tui to O Porriño

The time in Spain is one hour later than Portugal , so our starting times have shifted. The sun isn’t up until nearly 8am!

This morning, I packed a few things that aren’t needed (rain gear and cool weather clothes) and mailed them to Santiago where I can retrieve them next week. Lightened my pack by 3kg!

We walked on some stunning Roman roads with centuries-old bridges today. Into O Porriño, a lovely old town with a walking plaza and cafes. We ran into Steve and Teresa from Texas, Ger from Ireland, and Steve and Carey from somewhere back east. I think we’ll be seeing less and less of our “family” now that the way is becoming more crowded with many more lodging options for pilgrims.
