    Potsdam

    Took the train out to Potsdam then a hop on off bus around the area. Potsdam is where all the summer palaces are much of which was in East Germany and many of then had been turned into the KGB head quarters. Potsdam is also the place where the meeting between England (Winstin Churchill), USA and Russia took place in 1945 to decide what the future of Germany would be and Berlin (and Germany) was devided into the East (under Russia) and the west ( under the US and England) Today they are restored and opened to the public. Einstein also had a summer home here before the war. There is still a great deal of rebuilding and restoration happening within Berlin as well.Read more
