    The reason race horses and bourbon go together is the water. Kentucky underground water is rich in calcium and magnesium with no iron content. This produces lush grass, strong boned horses and crystal clear water for bourbon.

    While on final approach into Blue Grass Airport, I came within about 20 feet of a bird strike with a hawk. I could see from the look on the bird's face that he was just as surprised as I was. Bird strikes are bad for both parties.
