The requirements for bourbon:
1. Must be made in continental USA.
2. Must be at least 51% corn mash.
3. Distilled to max strength of 160 proof.
4. Bottled at a strength of at least 80 proof.
5. Must be aged in new or charred oak barrels for at least 2 years. If it is aged less than 4 years, it must be labeled as such. Barrels can only be used once.
