Enjoyed a 9 hole game of golf at Hilly Haven Golf www.hillyhaven.com . Beautiful golf course with lots of mosquitoes.

After golf, visited a local brewery and enjoyed a pint of "Green 19 IPA". "Green 19" is what QB Rodgers calls on the offensive line before the play.Okumaya devam et

Landed at the Purdue Airport. When I attended school here (Masters of Management), in 1999, I never thought I would return in my own aircraft. Life is good.

Had the famous chopped steak burger at the Triple XXX Family Restaurant in Lafayette. I had the “TheDuane Purvis All American”, A 1/4lb. chop steak, thick, creamy peanut butter, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle & onion on a toasty sesame bun.

Lexington, KY, Land of Bourbon & Horses

The reason race horses and bourbon go together is the water. Kentucky underground water is rich in calcium and magnesium with no iron content. This produces lush grass, strong boned horses and crystal clear water for bourbon.

While on final approach into Blue Grass Airport, I came within about 20 feet of a bird strike with a hawk. I could see from the look on the bird's face that he was just as surprised as I was. Bird strikes are bad for both parties.

Woodford Reserve Bourbon Distillery Tour

The requirements for bourbon:
1. Must be made in continental USA.
2. Must be at least 51% corn mash.
3. Distilled to max strength of 160 proof.
4. Bottled at a strength of at least 80 proof.
5. Must be aged in new or charred oak barrels for at least 2 years. If it is aged less than 4 years, it must be labeled as such. Barrels can only be used once.

I made it to New York! Had a fun ILS instrument approach into Hudson Valley Airport (KPOU).

So far, I've flown a total of 22 hours.

I will be staying in Wappinger Falls for the next 3-4 days while I attend a wedding party and visiting with my brothers and family.Okumaya devam et

I think I am now on the west side of the storm system.

Made it to Kansas City, MO after a 3.9 hours of flying through clouds and fighting a 40 knot headwind.

Sitting at the bar having a beer. When asked what brings me to town, I respond that "I am on an epic adventure!". Great conversations follow.

So far, I have flown 30.5 hours. 5.8 hours have been flown in the clouds under instrument control.Okumaya devam et

Sandia Peak Tram and Hiking Trail

The Sandia Peak Tramway is an aerial tramway located adjacent to Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. It stretches from the northeast edge of the city to the crestline of the Sandia Mountains and has the world's third longest single span. It is the longest aerial tram in the United States. The vertical is over 4,000 feet.

Woke up to rain with the forecast for more rain. Decided to spend one more day in wine country.

Visited the Armstrong Redwood Forest Preserve. Beautiful, old and very tall trees.

In October 2017 the Tubbs wildfire burned much of Northern California. The fire destroyed 2,800 home in Santa Rosa. The city is quickly rebuilding.
