Ticket & backpack for Córdoba

I bought the ticket to Córdoba today after my German classes at the Retiro - the central station of Buenos Aires.
There is a separated bus station in the back.
I will leave Monday in the night and arrive after 9 hours in the bus station of Córdoba... hopefully safe and sound. 🙈
Afterwards I walked to the hostel, had one more lesson of German class in a Starbucks 😄 and packed all my stuff together in the backpack!
It took me a while and I will have to leave some things here in the hostel for later, if possible ...
Wish me luck for this first of many travels 🍀

From Villa Icho Cruz to Cuesta Blanca

Ester picked me up this morning and we went straight to the bus terminal in Cordoba. We took the bus to Villa Icho Cruz. From there we wanted to walk alongside the San Antonio river to Cuesta Blanca.

Unfortunately, the path was very far from the river, so we came up with the crazy idea of walking through the river. As the river deepened more and more, we came up with the even crazier idea of walking and climbing over the stones.

At first there were visitors and people swimming from time to time, but after a few kilometers there was only vegetation and no human soul. The hours passed and we followed the river but had no GPS and didn't know how long it would take us to Cuesta Blanca.

We made a lunch break, but with the time, my legs started hurting and we both started to worry. In addition, there were no roads to a city next to the river.

Luckily, we discovered footprints and an abandoned house with a small path to a larger path and we had GPS again and could see where we were!!! We made it to Cuesta Blanca and from there, took a bus back to Cordoba.

Paseo de Las Artes en Córdoba

I walked a little bit through downtown Córdoba today around the afternoon to visit a cloth fair. I eat a super pancho (like a hot dog) and left because I didn't like the spot. 😕

A friend gave me a recommendation for a nice bar, so I walked into this direction.

On my way, I found the Feria Artesanal with lots of cute little stands. It was evening already and the feria looked even better now than in the daytime sun. 😍

I love those ferias with handmade stuff and of course I couldn't resist to buy something ... even more stuff for my heavy suitcase now 🙄🙈Read more

Daytrip to Alta Gracia (Córdoba)

After work this morning, I was picked up by a friend called Alejandro, who I know from the app hang-outs. We walked through downtown a little and explained some buildings and monuments.

Then, we took a bus to Alta Gracia, that needed around one hour to get there. 🚌

First, we visited the Che Guevara museum, which is located in his old home. Afterwards, we had lunch and then walked to the house (also a museum) of Manuel de Falla, a famous spanish componist. 🎼

In the end, we visited the cave of the holy virgin in a park. Around 8.15 pm we took the bus back to Córdoba to visit another church, where we accidently ended up in a demonstrations to the day of the woman worldwide! ♀️🤹‍♀️🤷Read more

First day in Mendoza

This morning I arrived in Mendoza and went with a taxi to the hostel of Luis.
He is building a hostel here and needs volunteers to help him. 3 other volunteers from brazil live here as well, together with a cat and a dog. 🐱🐶

I couldn't sleep in the bus, so I got some rest in my new home (for a week), did laundry here and took a shower. 🙌

I walked a little bit around the area, bought some foods and cooked lunch for Luis & me. The other volunteers went on a hike and will return in the evening. You can see a lot of streetdogs as well and how the neighbours feed then! 🥩🐕

Later that day I took a bus downtown to discover Mendoza. It is greener and cleaner than Córdoba or Buenos Aires. Next to the road, there are grooves everywhere as a water system for the trees and the typical holders for the garbage.

At around 8.15pm I took the bus back to the hostel, met the other volunteers for the first time and baked a bread for everyone 😄👍Read more

Play day with puppies

It was my job today in the morning to clean the dog 🙈 that fur!! OMG
In the end, she was clean for 10 minutes and ran into the dirt again 🙄

Later we worked a little in the hostel, had lunch together, and in the afternoon I went downtown in a bus to walk around and eat a little at starbucks.

In the evening, I made a banana bread for everyone! 🍌 We enjoyed the bread, sat together and made some Plans for tomorrow 🍇😄

Before I went to bed, i played with the puppies again, plus the kitty 🐱Read more

Bodegas López & Museum in Maipú

Early in the morning, we took the bus to Maipú, where we first visited the winery Bodegas López. They offer guided tours for free through their production and a free wine tasting at the end!🍷

I dont like wine, but I never say no to a new try, maybe this time I will like it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The tour was in Spanish, but I think I understood like the basic stuff about the family and the production of the wine. 🍇

Well, I did not like the wine ... 🙈😖😩

Afterwards, we went to the National Museum of Wine and Vintage, had also a little guided tour, eat a Pancho (Hot Dog) and relaxed in a park, until we took the bus back to the hostel.Read more
TravelerWeißt du, ich war 2013 dort ... Ich mochte damals wirklich keinen Wein. Und ich erinnere mich, dass ich der einzige Südamerikaner in der Gruppe der 7 war und der Rest Englisch und Deutsch sprach. Und ich muss Ihnen sagen, dass es nur auf Spanisch war. Ich hoffe es geht dir sehr gut und schreibe, um etwas über dich zu erfahren. Ich hoffe, dass all diese Situation ein etwas ruhigeres Ende für die Welt hat :)
