To start my Europe inter rail trip i decide to go to Iceland where they don't have a rail system haha. it was pretty cold but a nice dip in the geothermal waters of the blue lagoon was very welcome. it was like have a lovely hot bath in the middle of nowhere. I also took a tour of the Golden circle and saw beautiful waterfall and drove between the Europe and american tectonic plates. One of the main reasons i choose Iceland was because of the northern lights however i had no luck and didn't see any but there is always another time.Læs mere

This was the part of the trip i was looking forward to the most. I had never been to Italy before but being a massive football fan i was in love with Italian football and wanted to watch AC Milan play and one player in particular Kaka. And that dream came true as I watch AC play Torino. During the three days I spent in Milan i also meet two Brazilian girls by the name of Juliana and Francesca, they were lovely and we shared a pizza in front of the Milan Duomo.Læs mere

Berlin was next for a few days. Here I wondered the city and went to the big arch and the parliament building. The atmosphere in the ground was great and i would say it was the best ground for atmosphere i have been to :) after Three nights in Berlin it was on to Frankfurt for a night.Læs mere

  • Dortmund

    3. maj 2014, Tyskland ⋅ ☀️ 12 °C

This was the bit i was looking forward to and was made possible by Laurin, The German i travelled a bit with in Australia. He managed to hook us up with tickets to watch Borussia Dortmund against Hoffenheim. On my travels I had seen a few good players such as Blind at Ajax and Kaka and Balotelli at Milan but the Dortmund team featuring players such as Reus, Hummels, Lewandowski and Firmino for Hoffenheim was a particular highlight. It was even more so as it was Lewandowski's last home game for Dortmund and the game that ended 4-2 to Dortmund was well worth the wait. Laurin was kind enough to let me stay at his and make me tea and take me for a pint it was a good day and brilliant company. At this was the last stop for me on my European adventure. I then went on to Arnhem and stayed with Marvin for one night and then to Amsterdam to catch a bus home to England.Læs mere
