Day 9: Good Friday @ Italowie Gap

Back on the road, the Outback Hwy to Copley, 157 km with just 1 instruction - turn right at 156km 😳

The temp reached 30 at just 10.30, but thankfully it didn’t get any higher.

Rendezvous with friends at Copley, they have been traveling for 2 weeks and we are continuing our travels together for the next 10 days.

Unfortunately AVAN hasn’t yet fitted our Carafan, and so we had to seal over the vents using a XXXX box and duct tape for the next 100km of rough dusty road 😳. Thankfully that worked and we didn’t have much dust ingress, just a little around the door step.

Set up for a few nights of remote bush camping at Italowie Gap Campground in the Gammon Ranges National Park. A beautiful spot in a valley amongst the hills but very rocky and dusty underfoot with little prickles that seem to get everywhere.
And for a little bit of history- RM Williams set up camp nearby and made his first pair of leather boots here in 1932Baca lagi
