While at Tokyo Station, I sought out the famous ramen street, which is a collection of top rated ramen restaurants located in the Yaesu underground mall linked to Tokyo Station. The main reason for this trip was to help my dad recover from surgery. As such, I didn’t do much in Singapore. I took my parents to a couple of doctor appointments, ran errands, and mitigated various trip and slip hazards in their condo. I did see a couple of friends but I did not do much else.

I gleefully drove to the nearest army camp and deposited my old uniform and equipment in the drop box there. I did bring home a couple of keepsakes, including my beret, one shirt, my OCS polo shirt, and my rank insignias.

I considered going to Narita town for dinner and sightseeing but I decided against that idea because I was a little stressed out and I didn’t want to navigate a strange town in the dark. Instead, I hopped onto the free shuttle for Narita View Hotel and I spent a couple of hours relaxing at the onsen there.Read more
