A Bali Homage

This homage is dedicated to the time we have already spent here in Bali and the time that lies ahead of us.

The days seem to get longer and longer with every tomorrow that becomes reality, all because of the itching desire to start a new chapter. Anticipation is supposed to be the best part of experiencing something new, but it turns out to grow more excruciating with every passing minute.

Don't get me wrong, I like to over-dramatize our situation because I find entertainment in creating this wannabe poetry. It's actually not that bad; time feels slower, but at least we can spend it at the beach while slurping from a coconut. To be honest, this isn't exactly where we expected to be right now. Enjoying this dream-honeymoon island feels somewhat wrong, and it honestly feels a bit surreal, especially when the majority of you guys have to work at that time.

We are safe and sound but still waiting impatiently for our visa approval; it has been two weeks now since we applied.
Days pass, and I'm already so bored that I've taken up gym sessions and started renewing my CV for various applications. While my impatience grows, my savings are taking an unexpected beating.
