Valparaiso

A 120 km coach ride to Valparaiso via the Casa del Bosque winary in the Casablanca valley for a wine tasting session. Then on to our hotel in the city and a meal out.

Valparaiso has a rich maritime history as a key 19th-century Pacific trading hub and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It's an uber shabby-chic bohemian place, full of art and culture. Paintings, drawings and graffiti adorn a myriad of many, many surfaces.

A guided walk on the morning of day 2 revealed all the wonderful arty-farty delights. In the afternoon we left the group and had the best meal of the holiday so far in a seafood restaurant - the Maralegre.Leggi altro
