Another day of endless driving - so it seemed - along these awful country roads. Around 300 km's but it felt so much more. There was supposed to be a great free camp on the river, accessible only during dry weather. That didn't stop J to push ahead. He got us into a spot (me following) where we nearly got bogged, just in time we managed to retreat. 2nd time around I took the lead and we found another way in (don't ask how - I must have sniffed it out) on a much safer dirt road. Still there were lots of muddy places and it took a while to find a spot to stop (and free of monster ants!). We had a beautiful walk along the river, Josie took off like a high speed train but returning at every bend. While Josie is an excellent traveler and doesn't complain about long hours on the road, she makes up for it when she is free. It is almost impossible to satisfy her need for spending all her energy. The fire pit we started did not succeed and finally we ended up inside warming our bones over dinner. Not long after we disappeared into our cosy bed...Les mer
