The main city was walled and the living space for the elite priests, royalty, and warriors lived within the city with the majority of the population living outside of the walls and supporting the city. It is estimate that the population of the city state was nearly 80K.

For a price the Mayan warriors will snap your photo and even let you hold their python.... to my surprise.
