      Animals, Animals, Animals

October 30, 2016 in South Africa

It was a very relaxing vacation. We stayed in an open natural compound in stylish huts build with only natural resources of the surroundings. Curfew from 5pm to 7am. During this time the animal roamed the compound.
On my first jog around the compund I encountered the house giraffe. His name is Barbarossa. He is allowed to stay there because he is old and weak. All of sudden I see hige legs and stop in my tracks. In follow the legs upwards and there is this huge giraffe. I did not know whether to continue arnound him or not. I stood still for about a minute, pondering. Summend up my courage and did a step torwards him. He did a step towards me... and I ran the other way:-).
We would lay around a natural stunning swimmingpool in all colours of turqious and blue. Many bushbuck and the house Giraffe would keep us company. We wen t on safari both by car and foot. Stunning.
