I'LL KEEP IT IN BEST MEMORIES

We left our footprints everywhere around Melbourne,
we were in the city, in the hills - where we thought to be in a fairy tale..
We saw the country around Bendigo..
& we left more than 44.000 of telephone books

We saw plenty of kangoroos, cockatoos, parrots, owls..
Those big fields & streets where the trees were bulding a roof above us
The moment when we made pi in the middle of nooonooowhere & finally were stucking in the mud.. Not only a piddy bit ! And we tried everthing to get out there.. But we were lucky girls !!! We only need 5 minutes to stop a big car with 4 young mans inside who were helping us out of our trouble
Everything was kind of an adventure !

All these good moments in 'our' car when the sun was going down & the music fits perfect with our mood - we were enjoying everything - except.. RICHI
This will be the point where Isabella and me probably thinking exactly the same

We were one of the best teams ! I really enjoyed our time - Thanks for everything !

    EXCITING

On my way to the airport. It felt so weird to know that I will hug my girls in a few minutes - it's like impossible !
I looked for the timetable when they will arrive and was waiting till it changed in "landed"
Soooooo exciting !! I can't describe this feeling but I guess I will fall over if I don't go outside to breath some fresh air - so did I

I took a seat & prepared my camera to film everything!
After 20 more minutes they came & trust me ! This was one of my most emotional moments in my life !
I started crying because of happiness !!! I was completly done - so unreal but they are finally back at my side

After half an hour of hugs, kisses, crying, smiling, laughing & loving - we went to the hostel which I prepared with ballons & prosecco

    1 SYDNEY WITH MY BAES

Totte & me bought coffee in the morning to start a good day
Healthy breakfast with honeymelon, apples, bananas.. Great stuff (Totte 'Frühstück mit geilem Scheiß')
First we went to the Opera house and the Harbour Bridge to have a look.
After that we visit the Royal botanical gardens where we have seen lots of cacadus.
We also visit a huge cathedrale named 'St Marrys Cathedrale' reminds me of the Dom at home.
We went to the city to walk around.. Afterwards we were so hungry from the shittie weather which was almost raining..
So we decided to have a warm 'pre' dinner at Vapiano
    -awesome

When we've finished we visit the harbour and the opera house again because of this big light event called 'vivid sydney' which was a highlight for us ! Everything was shining colourful ! The opera house with different illustrations, the bridge, the skyline.. Part of the botanical gardens - we felt like in a world of Avatar.

After a 20km walk & 12 hours we went to a bar where we met Mellanie & her good friend Benjamin :) we had a cider together & afterwards we went back to the hostel.

Totte fall into sleep very quick, Caren had a call & Rahel and me had the great goon idea. we played funny drinking games & had much fun..

    SYDNEY

    Last day
    Started with coffee
We went to the famous Paddy market where we bought fresh snacks for our first 14 hours bus trip..
It was a sunny and warm day.
So we had a nice walk through 'the rocks' which is a place near the harbour bridge. The houses there a quiet old (like the 'Altstadt') pretty nice ! We had a little break on a bench under the bridge so we had the big chance to look at the architctur of this giant bridge.

Fazit: The bridge was built in 1932 and needs 8 years to be finished.

On the way back we had a beautiful 'sunsetwalk' at the harbour.

Our dinner was spagetthi with Pesto-tomatosauce made by Totte.
When we finished dinner we packed our stuff & were walking to the central station to take our first bus.

    We were lucky girls !
We had a wonderfully 4 bed dorm with so much space for girlies like us.
The start of our first day in the hippie place was sunny.. So we had the chance to walk around & exploring the nice beach.
It doesn't took long till it was starting to rain.. So we did some shopping very quick & bought some alcohol.
Before we were getting ready to go out - we were cooking like proffessionals.
So delicious !!!! We made 'Meatballs with tomatosauce and capcism'
Everybody was happy so we were starting to getting ready - girls like !
-freakin out, having some cuppas, hell yeeeeaaa so much fun with my lovely sexbombs.
We went to 3 clubs with all the same type of boys.. No comment
I just don't understand why people could be so nasty. Anyway I had lots of fun with my girls & my personal highlight was the end of this night.
Dominos was open - means, we went there & without thinking we were choosing a pizza xxxx
The worse thing... It was raining non stop.
I started running through the puddles - only thinking about my pizza..
It wasn't possible to avoid to get wet - so yeah we were sort of super super wetty !

    BYRON BAY

Awsome weather I tell you !!
Never had so much fun in a storm.
We've changed our clothes in bikinis & shirt, Totte tooked her plastic poncho & we were starting to run through the rain, through the bush walk behind our hostel - to the beach.
It was like a wellness action for free.
The sand was lashing against our skin.. Totte nearly fall over because of the wind.. We were all so slow like 2 km/h wasn't possible to be faster. We had to scream at each other - otherwise you've heard nothing.
We were running through the water just with the feets - it was so nice & warm.
Afterwards we were taking a warm shower & heating up our rest of the nice food.

Everybody was so tired & nearly falling into sleep. But my stomach told me..
So I was ordering a pizza at Dominos

    Fall into sleep immediately xoxo

    MOST EASTERLY POINT AUSTRALIA

We woked up around 5:00am to go to the lighthouse with the sunrise.
Not to miss - chips (Dominos was closed so no chance for getting a pizza)
It needs around 40minutes to get there..
When we arrived we have seen the wonderfully white lighthouse in the middle of the lockout. The views are amazing up there !! We searched for a nice place to sit & were watching the ocean with the sunrise.
And now my Quote: I have the eyes to see the animals !!!
I saw shaddows in the water so far away & tried tp show it to the girls - but first they haven't seen it.
So I prepared my camera & was waiting the whole time I was standing there. I saw the shaddows again and was zooming with my camera. There were couple of dolphins comming out of the water, swimming with the massive waves.
We've watched them like hours. It was amazing !!!!!! One of my highlights !
The best - everything is on camera !

    The shipwreck

"What was the story about the shipwreck again ?"

    Caren: It was a warship
Rahel: It was a exploration ship
Sonni: People burned the ship & left it there
Totte: It was to expencive to fetched it

SS Maheno was an ocean liner belonging to the Union Company of New Zealand that operated in the Tasman Sea, crossing between New Zealand and Australia, from 1905 until 1935. She was also used as a HOSPITAL SHIP by the New Zealand Naval Forces during World War I. She was washed ashore on Fraser Island by a cyclone in 1935 where the disintegrating wreck remains as a popular tourist attraction.

    HUMPBACK WHALES

    NAME
    • comes from the distinctive hump in front of their small dorsal fin

    LUNCH
    • often feed in large groups
    • humpbacks are baleen whales, which means they filter their food through baleen plates
    • they strain krill, anchovies, cod, sardines, mackerel, capelin, and other schooling fish from the waters
    • some humpbacks have been observed creating "bubble nets" to catch their prey
    • the whales dive deep then swim up in a spiral pattern, while releasing a steady stream of bubbles from their blow holes
    • as the bubbles rise they form a "net" that surrounds the whales' prey
    • the whales swim up through the centre of the bubble net and feed on the prey trapped inside

    COLOUR
    • mainly black or grey with white undersides to their flukes, flippers and bellies

    SIZE
    • 15m long

    NOTICEABLE CHARACTERISTICS
    • their long flippers & famous foe their singing ability
    • Humpback whales are extremely active, often slapping their flippers and flukes on the surface of the sea
    • they also breach more than any other baleen whales
    • male humpbacks produce a long series of calls that are normally heard during the winter breeding season, although songs have been recorded in the summer
    • the whales may repeat the same song for several hours

    HUMPBACK SONGS
    • appear to be shared by all singing members in the same area of the ocean
    • as the song changes, all members sing the new song
    • the same song is sung in spite of the great distance between groups in the population (up to 5000km)
    • this sharing of songs may occur when groups intermingle during migration or in shared summer feeding grounds

"Researchers are not certain why humpback whales sing. They have hypothesised that the songs attract females or are used as territorial markers"

    HABITAT & ECOLOGY
    • humpback whales make extensive seasonal migrations between high latitude summer feeding grounds and low latitude wintering grounds
    • winters are spent mating and calving in warm sub-tropical waters, with an annual migration back to colder waters to feed

    BREEDING
    • humpback whales have complicated courtship behaviours
    • often, many males will surround a single female hitting each other in a competition to get close to her
    • females become pregnant about every two to four years, and are pregnant with each calf for about 11 to 12 months
    • the calves can grow 0.5 metres per month while nursing on their mother"s rich milk
    • females nurse their newborn calves in warm, shallow water
    • because of an absence of teeth (which can be used to estimate age in other mammals), it is difficult to tell the age of a humpback whale but they are believed to live to 80
