Just a few bits and bobs in my local area.

TravelerI think this is a tanuki (that may be plural). The tanuki are racoon-like creatures in folklore. As well as being pranksters they protect against fire and theft. There’s a whole row in slightly different forms along this street.

TravelerLittle buns, all different shapes. 7 for ¥500, so 50p each. I watched the man making them and couldn't resist. I have to say I'd imagined the filling was chocolatey rather than bean paste. Live and learn! Still tasty but 7 was too many to manage warm.

TravelerIt was the small print that really made me laugh. 'We jam out the beer like a band'. Go brother!
