Noumea, New Caledonia

Wow, such a beautiful place geographically, but definitely not what I was expecting. I was waiting to see all the historical French colonial architecture but there’s none.
They have not preserved any of their colonial history, instead have almost obliterated it now with run down old concrete buildings. Buried in some of the residential back streets were some old remnants, but that’s it , nothing to speak of. Very disappointing.
If certain prolonged their way and cancel our colonial history we will end up the same way. Fortunately not in our time.Læs mere
