Near Mt Elbert

I'm near a staging point to climb My Elbert tomorrow. It's the tallest peak in Colorado at 14400 feet. I have to climb 4k feet tomorrow and I need to get it done before noon. The thunderstorms come in after that and it gets nasty. I'll decend the other side and cruise into Twin Lakes. I'll spend a couple of nights there to rest.
Sorry about the lack of updates and pictures. Truth is the trail is kind of boring. Not like Tahoe. Not much to talk about except a lot of hiking miles. I'll be at 175 tomorrow. Have to think if I want to keep going.Read more
