MT25, Tag 58-59: Rotterdam

Von der Fähre runter geht's durch die niederländische Pampa. Wir bleiben bei einem kleinen Cafe stehen als Marcus wieder Benzin riecht... der Vergaser leckt schon wieder 😞

Wir finden in dem kleinen Ort eine Motorrad Werkstatt, die sich das Problem kurz anschaun und meinen, für das was getan werden müsste haben sie in den nächsten zwei Wochen keine Zeit. Also wieder ARBÖ anrufen, wieder warten. Der Abschleppdienst kommt recht schnell und versucht einefrühere Lösung zu finden, aber es wird schnell klar, dass das nichts wird.

Daher die schwere Entscheidung, das Motorrad nach Wien überstellen zu lassen und die Reise getrennt zu beenden ... Marcus wird mein Motorrad nach Wien bringen und ich fahre mit dem Zug.

Wir suchen uns also ein Hotel, organisieren Kartons um einen Teil unseres Gepäcks per Post nach Wien zu versenden (damit sich keiner von uns zu sehr abschleppen muss) und schaun uns Rotterdam an.

From the ferry we go through the Dutch Pampa. We stop at a small cafe when Marcus smells gasoline again... the carburetor is leaking again 😞

We find a motorcycle workshop in the small town, where the mechanics take a quick look at the problem and tell us they have no time for what needs to be done in the next two weeks. So we call ARBÖ again, wait again. The towing service comes quite soon and tries to find an earlier solution, but it quickly becomes clear that this will not happen.
Hence the difficult decision to have the motorcycle transferred to Vienna and to end the journey separately. Marcus will take my motorcycle to Vienna and I will take the train.

So we look for a hotel, organize boxes to send part of our luggage to Vienna by post (so that none of us have to carry too much) and check out Rotterdam.Read more
