Neuruppin in Argentina

Überraschung! In meinem Hostel in Buenos Aires hatte ich damals ein deutsches Buch mitgenommen, das jemand anderes dort gelassen hatte. Es ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Zumal Besonders jetzt, da ich gerade gelesen habe, dass der Autor meine Heimatstadt Neuruppin erwähnt hat. 😂 Wenn auch nur, wie bspw. in einem Buch von Stefan Fitzek, weil es zwei Autobahnausfahrten hat, aber hey ... jedes Buch über einen Roadtrip in Deutschland nördlich von Berlin kommt an Neuruppin nicht vornei. Für alle, die diese unterschätzte Stadt noch nicht kennen: Außer der Autobahn haben wir noch viele andere coole Dinge wie … einen See, Wälder, Mais- und Rapsfelder, Rehe (besonders abdnds, am Straßenrand) und eine Fleischkonservenfabrik. Einige Bilder sind beigefügt. Ein Stopp lohnt sich immer, wenn ihr auf der Autobahn A24 zwischen Berlin und Hamburg unterwegs seid! 😉

Surprise! In my hostal in Buenos Aires I took a German book with me which was left behind by someone else. It is indeed a very nice one, I can recommend it. Especially as I just read that the author mentioned my hometown, Neuruppin. 😂 Of course, like e.g. in a book from Stefan Fitzek, just because it has 2 highway exits, but hey… any book about a road trip in Germany going north of Berlin seems to include Neuruppin. For all who do not know this cute town: we have plenty of other cool things like … a lake, woods, fields of corn and rapeseed, deers and a tinned meat factory. Some pictures atrached. It’s worth a stop whenever you drive on Highway A24 between Berlin and Hamburg! 😉
P.S. Last picture is a love letter to the airport Berlin-Tegel, which is no longer operating. Yes, it was ugly and far too small, but it was perfectly located towards Neuruppin and we miss it everytime when passing the old exit while driving another hour towards the even uglier new airport Berlin-Brandenburg.Read more
