Atacama, Salar de Atacama

Im Salar de Atacama ist so ziemlich alles salzig (mir hätte aber einer vor dem Kosten mal sagen können, dass das Verdunstungssalz arsenhaltig ist). Es gibt ja auch viel Verdunstungsfläche. Dazu gibt es immer wieder Lagunen, die unterirdisch miteinander verbunden sind und somit sehr tief nach unten gegen. Außerdem hatten wir noch Wetter. Schöne Wolken. Es wurde auch zunehmend dunkel. Nur weiß man ja hier, dass es nicht regnen wird…. 😂
Bildungsauftrag: Der Salar de Atacama (Salzstelle von Atacama) ist das größte aktive Evaporit-Becken in Nord-Chile. Der Salar liegt in der Atacama-Wüste, in einer abflusslosen Senke am Fuß der Andenkordillere. Er besteht aus einer harten, rauen, weißen Schicht Salz verunreinigt mit Wüstensand. Darunter befindet sich eine lithiumhaltige Sole. Zufließendes Wasser tritt in sporadisch auftretenden Tümpeln hervor, die wichtige Biotope bilden.

In the Salar de Atacama pretty much everything is salty (although someone could have told me before I tasted it that the evaporated salt contains arsenic). There is also a lot of evaporation surface. Several lagoons exist that are connected underground and are therefore very deep. We also had „weather“. Beautiful clouds. It was also getting darker and darker. Only one knows here that it will not rain…. 😂
Educational Mission: The Salar de Atacama (Atacama Salt Flat) is the largest active evaporite basin in northern Chile. The Salar is located in the Atacama Desert, in a valley with no outflow at the foot of the Andes Cordillera. It consists of a hard, rough, white layer of salt contaminated with desert sand.
