Yogya, Kraton (Sultan’s Palace)

The Royal Palace of Yogyakarta is a palace complex in the city of Yogyakarta. It is the seat of the reigning Sultan of Yogyakarta and his family. The complex is a center of Javanese culture and contains a museum of royal artifacts. The 2 hours dance performance is completely incomprehensible to Europeans, there are no explanations on site. So you see heavily made-up men and women standing and dancing around each other with lots of gestures and a lot of taram and a live orchestra. Surely the good guy wins in the end. I'm attaching two videos so you know what I mean. 😉Weiterlesen
