Sapa, Fansipan I

Fansipan (vietnamesisch: Phan Xi Păng) ist ein Berg in der Nähe von Sapa. Die Höhe des Berges betrug im Jahr 1909 3.143 Meter, heutzutage 3.147,3 Meter. Es ist der höchste Berg der Indochinesischen Halbinsel (die Vietnam, Laos und Kambodscha umfasst), daher der Spitzname „Dach von Indochina“. Eine Seilbahn zum Fansipan wurde 2016 eingeweiht. Die Gondelbahn benötigt 20 Minuten, um den Gipfel zu erreichen. Der Service hält zwei Guinness-Weltrekorde für die längste Nonstop-Dreiseil-Seilbahn der Welt mit einer Länge von 6,3 km und den größten Höhenunterschied einer Nonstop-Dreiseil-Seilbahn mit 1.410 m Höhenunterschied zwischen Termini. Ich muss sagen, es war eine der sanftesten Seilbahnfahrten aller Zeiten. Die Aussicht war atemberaubend, besonders als wir kurz vor dem Gipfel in eine Wolke eintauchten. Auf dem Fansipan-Berg befindet sich ein Komplex spiritueller Anlagen mit Pagoden, Klöstern, riesigen Guanyin- und Buddha-Statuen und Stupas. Es ist ein unglaublich schöner und wirklich spiritueller Ort, auch für Nicht-Gläubige wie mich.

Fansipan (Vietnamese: Phan Xi Păng) is a mountain near Sapa. The height of the mountain was 3,143 metres in 1909, but now the height of the mountain is 3,147.3 metres. It is the highest mountain in the Indochinese Peninsula (comprising Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia), hence its nickname "the Roof of Indochina". A cable car to the peak of Fansipan was inaugurated in 2016. The gondola lift takes 20 minutes to arrive at the summit. The service holds two Guinness World Records for the longest non-stop three-rope cable car in the world, spanning 6.3 km, and the greatest elevation difference by a non-stop three-roped cable car for the 1,410 m difference in elevation between the termini. I must say, it was one of the smoothiest cable car drives ever. The view was breathtaking, especially when we dived into a cloud short time prior the peak. On Fansipan Mountain is a complex of spiritual attractions with pagodas, monasteries, huge Guanyin and Buddha statues, and stupas.
