    The Yabnal style was developed around 600–780 A.D. It is characterized by its thick stucco with a final finishing of polychromous modeling in its decoration and earth masonry. It is present in the substructure of the Temple of the Initial Series, the Group of the Three Lintels, in the Great Leveling of the Castle, and in the basement of the Group of the Red House.

    The Maya Chichen style was developed from 780 to 900 A.D. A large part of the inscriptions found in Chichén Itzá are framed in this style. The buildings that characterize this style are “palace”-type buildings. The decoration is concentrated in the upper part and on the crestings; the main motifs are figure heads of the Big Nose God and geometrical shapes.
