Sanxuan Gong

Maokong, Teeanbaugebiet südlich von Taipei, ist per U-Bahn und Gondel 😉 erreichbar (man kann auch den Bus nehmen, was ich bei der Rückfahrtgemacht habe, das war ein Höllenritt!).

Nimmt man die Gondel, so schwebt man wunderbar über den Zoo und die Hügel mit Wald und Teefeldern hinweg um in einem Gebiet zu landen in dem sich alles um Tee dreht. So kann man die Pfade, die früher zum Teetransport verwendet wurden begehen (und selbst bei Schlechtwetter die wunderbaren Ausblicke auf Taipei geniesen), alles mögliche über Tee lernen (habe das Informationszentrum allerdings ausgelassen, da ich am Ende zu müde war) und natürlich Tee trinken sowie mit Tee gekochte Speisen essen.

Alles in allem eine entspannende Angelegenheit.

Maokong, tea-growing region south of Taipei, is accessible by subway and gondola 😉 (you can also take the bus, which I did on the way back, it was a hell of a ride!).

If you take the gondola, you float wonderfully over the zoo and the hills with forest and tea fields to land in an area where everything revolves around tea. So you can walk the paths that were used to transport tea in the past (and enjoy the views on Taipei even with bad weather), learn all sorts of things about tea (I skipped the information center because I was too tired at the end) and of course drink tea and eat dishes cooked with tea.

All in all, a very relaxing experience.
