That's it 😋
We took the Aeroexpress back to SVO Airport - everything went extremely smooth and fast (passport control, security check, etc.).
Luckily we got upgraded by Aeroflot again, that's a nice end of this story, isn't it? 😎Read more
Red Square at day was already an impressive sight, but seeing it at night made this place feel completely different.
VDNX or VDNKh is an all purpose trade show and amusement park - unfortunately it's was at this time just a massive construction site (I guess due to football World Cup in Russia this year).
Lots of museums and exhibitions can be visited here.. but for us, maybe next time 😅Read more
We decided to spend some time outside of the centre of Moscow, so we took a ride to Vorob'yory Gory station and had a little walk besides Moskva River and through the forest up to an observation spot with views all over Moscow Downtown.
As Moscow University was nearby, we also took a look at the campus.Read more
The next day we directly made our way to (probably) Moscow's main attraction - Red Square.
It took 10 minutes with the metro to get there.
We didn't visit any of the Museums or exhibitions, we just walked around the area a bit and enjoyed the cold, but sunny weather 😎Read more
As it was already late when we arrived at the hotel, we decided just to talk a short walk outside the hotel and get to know the area a bit.
Near the hotel there was a little park with access to Moskva River.. and SNOW 😁
We later made a short visit to the big shopping mall directly next to our hotel: Evropeysky Shopping CenterRead more
We spent the 4 nights at the Adagio Moscow Kievskaya, a modern Aparthotel from Accor Hotel Group (Mercure, Novotel, ibis, etc.).
The hotel is located right across Kievskaya station, which has 3 metro lines, meaning, we had perfect connections to the whole city.
All rooms are equipped with a small kitchen area.Read more
Surprise - We did not stay at an airport hotel the night before the flight 😄
When we arrived at the airport to drop off our baggage and to check-in, the check-in agent smiled at us and told us, that we have been upgraded to Business Class - perfect start of this trip 😍
So we spent some time at the Hugo Junkers Lounge at DUS Airport before boarding our flight.
The flight itself was fabulous - the flight attendant responsible for Business Class was super friendly and caring.
Immigration to Russia was also easy - it was the first time I didn't even have to say one word.. I just showed my passport and my visa, signed the immigration card twice, got my stamps and I was done.. 😁
From the airport we took the Aeroexpress to Belorusskaya station, tickets could be purchased online - again, super easy and convenient. The ride from airport to city just took 30 minutes.Read more
