Jama Masjid (Jama mosque)

We started our day with a visit to this huge mosque in the heart of Old Delhi. It can hold 25,000 worshippers for Friday prayer!

Going first thing in the morning there were not very many visitors and it was a very peaceful place. We climbed the minaret and had a fantastic view of the surroundings, although the bad air quality had the effect of feeling like we were in a frosted-glass dome that we couldn’t see through past a certain circumference.Read more
