    We started the day with no set plan and it unfolded beautifully.
    Gullfoss Waterfalls were a lovely find but freezing and the pathways were slippery, nevertheless it was quite a sight.
    We visited Iceland’s first eco village and couldn’t get out of there fast enough, we both felt unnerved by shades of ’deliverance’. We made a quick getaway and returned (escaped) back to the main road after a few giggles and lots and of jokes about the strange looking alien-like people we saw there.
    Next we stumbled on what can only be described as the biggest photo opportunity of the trip - Kerid Crater, an extinct volcano with a small 55 metre deep lake. Stunning!

    Today’s photo opportunities were complete after the Northern Lights visited the skies above us multiple times during the night.
