Kyoto - do we have to leave?

We spent 3 nights in Kyoto - what a great city. It feels more like a town, though it's home to over a million people. Each after is full of cute restaurants and shops our cherry blossoms and temples.

We started in an adorable Airbnb with our own zen garden! The highlight of this portion of the trip was the nishiki market full of food vendors and shops! We had yakitori - deep fried chicken, giant oysters, tempura shrimp, and many other tasty snacks.

While in Kyoto we also got to hike to see and feed the monkeys! Great views surrounded by pretty cute monkeys - they all had their own personality and were very greedy about their food! We also got to visit the yamazaki distillery (the oldest whiskey distillery in Japan)!

I think we all wish we could have stayed longer - but on to the next train to Hiroshima!もっと詳しく
