• Basílica de la Sagrada Família

    11. mai, Spania ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

We had a fantastic day in Barcelona. After sleeping in and enjoying a delicious breakfast, we set out towards the basilica.

The weather was perfect, and on our walk over, we wandered through a farmers market, soaking in the tree-lined streets and pedestrian-friendly areas.

Walking up to the basilica from the gardens was stunning—much larger and more impressive than we expected. Despite still being under construction, it is beautiful. Since we arrived a bit early for our tour, we stopped at a cozy little wine and tapas spot nearby. We sampled a few local white wines and snacked on some delicious bites—the most interesting being cheese wrapped in anchovy.

When it was time, we headed into the basilica for our tour. The interior was stunning—bright, airy, and filled with light streaming through the stained glass windows. Up in the tower, we got a close look at the fruit sculptures (my favorite!) and enjoyed chatting with other visitors as we made our way through the narrow hallways and winding staircases.
