Itaipú

Real quick hop in to Paraguay today to see the Itaipú dam, the 3rd largest in the world, and second largest by electricity production.

The Ciudad del Este in Paraguay didn't offer much else, so we saw the dam and headed back to Brazil.

We met a nice friend at the bus stop going over, and he joined us for the day, and we even hitchhiked for the first time! Leaving the dam, there were no buses like we were told so a nice young local couple took us back to the border. Really fun, really funny day!Read more
