    The Tiger Delta - Tigre Delta.
    A maze of canals, streams, swamps and waterways.Ex President Sarmientos waterside home - now a museum.We caught the No. 60 bus from outside our apartment and travelled the 91 stops........ all for £1.10 each one way........but it took over 2 hours!One of the many waterside homes permanently occupied ...... linked by streams and bridges, no vehicular access to most of them.The original and still operational churches in the Delta.... and the school! Both accessed by boat only.Sign of the times, many for sale boards.... and herons.The Grand Art Museum.... and FairgroundStill evidence of the active port it used to be. Puerto Fruto is now a haven for artisan products

    You can be forgiven for thinking these pics are of the Norfolk Broads - Tigre Delta is the Buenos Aires version. Located at the bottom of the Paraná Delta, near its mouth in the Rio de la Plata. It is a popular tourist destination to enjoy nature and boat rides that depart from the river station of the city of Tigre. The Fruit Port is another major attraction, known for its local crafts and produce.Read more
