Roermond

Roermond, the port of call for all those travelling from Eindhoven airport on towards Düsseldorf. It's not quite the ancient silk route, but it is quick becoming a familiar stop off point on the route from Manchester to Düsseldorf of all those flying with a 36 euro return ticket.

I headed straight over from work to pick David up. We met in an Irish bar on the strip in front of the train station. David had arrvied 30 minutes earlier and had had a wander abou the town. He said he really liked it and questioned why he'd never heard of the town before.Read more
