At night, the generator is on for 3 hours only from 6:30 to 9:30 to let everyone charge their gadgets and to settle down for sleep.

Monkey business

Anaconda search

Around 9 am, we went in search of the Anacondas in the swamp land. We were all wearing long boots and wd spread out to maximize our chances of spotting one.
Deeper into the marshland

Anaconda tracks

We saw some Anaconda tracks in some of the marshes but still no Anacondas. We continued even deeper in the thicket.
Search called off

Finally, at roughly around 10:45, we had to give up the search for the Anacondas since it was getting quite hot and not the right time to search for the Anaconda.

Water Lillies

The 1st swamp had a lot of Water Lillies. They had beautiful violet flowers with lovely colors inside. They have bulbous formations just above the root that help them to float when the water levelもっと詳しく
Going pirana fishing

The afternoon plan was to go find a good spot for pirana fishing to hook some and get them back for dinner.

Change of plans

As we were going to the pirana lake, we passed a pod of dolphins. There were 7-8 of them swimming in a deeper part of the river. We changed our plans and decided to swim with the dolphins instead andもっと詳しく

We spent the next hour or so swimming with the dolphins in that bend of the river. They seem to swim from one end of the bend to the other and back. Sometimes, they were as colse as a meter from us.もっと詳しく

After swimming with the dolphins, we were back in the boat and headed for one of the local pampas bar to see the sunset.

It was a beautiful sunset even though, we could see some dark clouds at the horizon. It was a premonition too the deluge that was to come.
Tropical thunderstorm

Pirana Fishing

Relaxed morning in La Paz

We arrived at La Paz around 8:30 am. From the bus stop, we took a taxi to the apartment where we were to stay. It was a nice big studio apartment with a kitchen and a living room as well.
