Today we did the Death Road near La Paz. Its a 63 kms mountain bike ride down the world's most dangerous road, also known as the Road of Death.

Further on the road there are many waterfalls. It was a lot of fun riding through them.

The last stretch of the death road was quite dust with a lot of loose sand and stones. We made it to the end by about 3:30 pm. The views even on this stretch were stunning.

We ended the trip at a resort in Yolosita. It was a very beautiful place with 2 swimming pools and some amazing variety of flowers. It was almost like walking around in a rainforest.

Reached Escorpion camp

After about 3 hours of boat ride, we arrived at the Escorpion camp area. The rio Honda joins the rio Beni near the camp. We got off and helped carry some of the food stuff to the huts.

There were an amazing variety of butterflies around the refuge area. We spent the afternoon roaming around at the edge of the jungle near the camp.

There were a lot of variety of spiders as well. One of them was as big as the hand. This one catches and eats small birds and butterflies and in the night, even bats.

Another variety of tiny coconut

We saw another variety of coconut. This one had 4 sections inside. The oil from this is extremely healthy for the skin.
