Van Densole via Hastings naar Brighton

Falkor had de memo niet gelezen over het uur terug en stond om 6 uur al aan het bed te springen. Maar vandaag eindelijk wat droger en de kleine supermarkt tegenover de camping was ook al open. Vers brood en Crompets uhh ja moesten we maar eens proberen. Moeten even opzoeken warm of koud eten...

Op tijd gaan rijden en na de eerste Costa Coffee to go zijn we via de kleine wegen langs letterlijk honderden schapen richting Hastings gereden. Dit was eind jaren zeventig mijn einddoel van de Engeland trip op de brommer. Zomaar een parkeerplaats kunnen vinden en zijn er stuk langs de boulevard en (gesloten) Lunapark gelopen. De plaatselijke Reddingsbrigade had een open dag en we hebben de boot en de tractor ervoor mogen bekijken.

Hierna verder naar Brighton. We hebben de wandeling langs de pier en in de stad maar even gelaten in verband met het weer. Vorig jaar hebben de hele dag in het centrum rondgelopen met wat beter weer.

Vlak bij de Brighton Club Campsite was een klein restaurantje. Hier was nu een Indisch cafe gevestigd waar je ook kon eten. Eten was eenvoudig en we weten nu ook weer hoe scherp dit eten kan zijn.

Falkor hadn't read the memo about the hour back and was already jumping around the bed at 6 o'clock. But today it was finally a bit drier and the small supermarket opposite the campsite was already open. Fresh bread and Crompets, uhh yes, we had to try it. Have to look up how to eat it hot or cold ...

We left on time and after the first Costa Coffee to go we drove along the small roads past literally hundreds of sheep towards Hastings. This was my final destination of the England trip on the moped in the late seventies. We just found a parking space and walked along the boulevard and (closed) Lunapark. The local Rescue Brigade had an open day and we were allowed to view the boat and the tractor in front of it.

After that we continued to Brighton. We skipped the walk along the pier and in the city because of the weather. Last year we walked around the city centre all day with better weather.

There was a small restaurant near the Brighton Club Campsite. There was now an Indian cafe here where you could also eat. Food was simple and we now know how spicy this food can be.
