Whilst in Franz Josef I almost conquered Alex knob (and Lake Wombat) - yes, they are real names of treks ! Stunning and fun little trek to the knob but didn't make it to the summit due to the weather, it really turned. I took pictures on the way up and on the way down, you'll see what happened with the weather! Great views of the famous Franz Josef glacier though! I have clearly steered away from any rudeness in this post but many sniggers were had whilst doing the hike as I spent far too long making up little descriptions of the hike!

Queenstown hill - Nice tramp up hill (obviously) with an amazing view of Queenstown.

Te Anau - a lake side walk, part of the great walk, the Kepler track. Beautiful area which was used in some of the Lord of the rings. Mossy, fern carpet and ancient looking trees.

Key summit and Lake Howden - a tremendous tramp (I'm trying to find different describing words). Classed as an intermediate, I was concerned but it was so much fun. I'm smiling just thinking about it. The weather was amazing. I lost my gloves, I found my gloves! A fabulous morning!

Victory bay, Otago Peninsula, Dunedin- I really wanted to see penguins so got up really early and did this lovely little walk to a quiet bay, no penguins!
