We went to a lolly factory!!! Gramps came too. There was a cool museum and huge shop at the Haribo Factory near where we are staying in Uzes. It's where they make gummy bears! We got to make our own lollies in a machine and we got to keep them. Mum let us buy something from the shop, we chose gummy crocodiles and a little gummy bear teddy.En savoir plus

  • Valence, lunch!

    13 avril 2015, France ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

We set off on our new adventure with dad driving and mum reading the map, on our way to Annecy for 4 nights. We stopped for lunch in Valence, it's pretty and mum was happy it's the home of Victor Hugo ( a writer I don't know). It is more decorated but not as old as Uzes. I got to go on a 1900 carousel!En savoir plus

  • Coming to Annecy

    13 avril 2015, France ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

We got our first look at snow on the mountains! It is warm weather though, about 26deg, so I don't know if we will play in snow. It's a different city with old and new parts and little rivers going through it. Our apartment is small and funny, we feel like we are sleeping in the roof! We are planning lots of adventures in the next few days.En savoir plus

  • Exploring Old Annecy

    14 avril 2015, France ⋅ 🌙 16 °C

We went to the old village on the river, and some houses had doorways right in the water. You would definitely need a boat! There were lots of little bridges and markets too. We tried lots of cheeses, olives, nougat and meats.En savoir plus

  • 27 Avenue de Loverchy

    14 avril 2015, France ⋅ 🌙 16 °C

Our apartment is across from a big old cemetery. I liked the big interesting monuments but mostly loved the soldier memorials and got mum to read me some of the names. It's not good to go into a real battle. Here is also a picture of our apartment building and a friendly man at the market.En savoir plus

  • Start of a busy day in Annecy

    15 avril 2015, France ⋅ 🌙 17 °C

We walked through old Annecy and found a beautiful big park. It was a warm day and people were sunbaking! The mountains looked beautiful. We went on a carousel in the park. You can go in paddle boats from the lake beach or ride in a tourist train along the lake's edge. We booked tickets for a boat ride.En savoir plus

  • Lac d'Annecy

    15 avril 2015, France ⋅ 🌙 16 °C

We went on a boat around the big lake. Our boat was called Le Cygne, which means "swan". There are a few swans around, which is cool because we don't see many birds in French towns. Anyway, Lake Annecy is really big and gives the city its water supply. We saw beautiful mountains, villages, paragliders, and some castles. Most of the castles are still just homes for families who have been there for ages. It was a warm sunny day and felt great!En savoir plus

  • Palais de l'Isle- the jail!

    15 avril 2015, France ⋅ 🌙 16 °C

There was a really old jail built on a tiny island in the river in the 1100's, I guess lot of people couldn't swim back then. It was also used as a mint for making coins- it looked like a kitchen with big cooking pots! And then it was also an important government office and law court. We liked exploring the rooms and stairs but the prison beds weren't very comfortable!En savoir plus

  • Geneva, Switzerland!!

    16 avril 2015, Suisse ⋅ ⛅ 13 °C

Mum found out how close we were to Switzerland (only 43km) so we just had to go!! Another country! It was a bit rainy and the city was pretty normal-looking but the lake was nice and the big fountain was cool. There is a mixture of old and new buildings side by side. Mum & dad had cheese fondue for lunch, they could hardly walk afterwards. We went to a nice park and science history museum too.

Nannie is much better, she has all tubes out and breathing normally!! We are so glad. She will get her strength back gradually now.

  • Palais Idéal, Hauterives

    17 avril 2015, France ⋅ ⛅ 12 °C

We went to visit a funny palace that a postman made all by himself. It took him 33 years 100 years ago and he collected rocks and shells and mud to make it. It was so detailed and heaps of fun to explore and climb. He created animals and plants and wrote words everywhere. I thought it all looked like a big fancy sandcastle, imagine if he really lived inside it!En savoir plus

  • Back in Uzes, and favourite TV show

    18 avril 2015, France ⋅ 🌙 14 °C

We all loved coming back to Uzes, we know it well now, and it's like coming home. We also were all sooo excited to visit Nannie in hospital. She looks great, in a normal ward, and very keen to get out of hospital. She doesn't need oxygen at all now and is getting her strength back.

I've discovered a fantastic TV show called Les Lapins Cretins (Crazy Rabbits), it's about alien rabbits exploring earth and getting into trouble especially at the shops. Its sooooooo funny, we all laugh heaps when it's on.

  • Saying goodbye to Nannie And Gramps

    19 avril 2015, France ⋅ ☁️ 12 °C

We kids have seen Nannie 2 times now! She looks normal to us! Apart from the bandage on her neck, which is going well. It's great to see she looks like herself. She is ready to leave the hospital in Nimes and have some more holiday while she gets her strength back.

Today we finished our Uzes holiday and drove to our next place at a cabin near the beach, for a very short time. It was hard to find and we drove round and round! We will post more photos tomorrow. The roadhouse for lunch had funny photo places.

It was a great day! Ruby and I slept in bunk beds last night! We really like our cabin and wish we could stay more than 2 nights. The caravan park has so many pools and slides and a playground and we did it all today! Even mum went on a water slide and screamed it was cold.En savoir plus

  • Goodbye France!

    21 avril 2015, France ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

It's hard to believe this is our last day in France. We drove along the coast to Nice, there are some funny brown beaches and ports with huge fancy boats. One big one was for sale for 1.2 million Euros!! We also went to a Roman stadium in Fréjus, it is about 2000 years old and a bit broken so it has been patched up. Next stop, Dubai then Legoland!!!!En savoir plus

  • Lego Land Malaysia!!!!!

    22 avril 2015, Malaisie ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Finally the day is here! Arriving here was so exciting, the hotel looks like it's made of Lego and you can see it from a long way away. Lots of things in the hotel are made of Lego and there is so much to play with. All the different lifts are fun too, I like the disco one! Ruby likes the princess one. Our room has a pirate theme and I'm in the top bunk! There was a treasure hunt in our room, the quiz answers made a code to open the monkey treasure chest! We went in the pool on the roof and to the restaurant- there are lots of Lego statues. I think mum will need to buy a new suitcase to bring home all the great things!En savoir plus

  • BEST DAY EVER.

    23 avril 2015, Malaisie ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

What a fun day!!! It was hot but I didn't mind. We went on so many rides and the rollercoasters were awesome! Some of the rides spray you with water, others spin you around or just go fast. Miniland has amazing Lego buildings just like the real cities and there is a great star wars exhibit. Have a look at the picture of Lego Kuala Lumpur buildings with our hotel in the background! The shop was also pretty awesome... I didn't want to ever leave Lego land. Then it rained so so heavily all of a sudden, we got drenched! But it still wasn't cold. At the hotel tonight I won the dinosaur building competition, I got a keyring as a prize.En savoir plus

  • ANOTHER best day, then it was the worst!

    24 avril 2015, Malaisie ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

Well I loved today again!! It was even hotter. First we went to Lego water park, cos we missed that yesterday in the monsoon. I went down a pretend river on a raft and in a wave pool and then on some big waterslides. Back in Lego land I got my Lego driver's licence!! Ruby got hers too on the little kids' track. We went on heaps more rides. There was one that dropped us from a height, and one you had to pull your chair up higher than the trees with a rope. We went on our favourite rollercoaster again too. Finally we went to the SHOP. Mum needs a new suitcase for sure! When it was time to leave and drive to Malaysia it felt like the WORST day because I just wanted to stay forever and ever. I was soooooooo sad and Ruby was too. But Dad and Mum said we would love Singapore too...En savoir plus

  • Sentosa Island, Singapore

    25 avril 2015, Singapour ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

I'm happy again! It's great here. The hotel is very fancy, and Ruby and I have our own room with big beds. We can see the pools and the beach and lots of huge ships out our window. At breakfast I saw peacocks and big monitor lizards trying to steal the food! We are not supposed to feed them. We had a fun day swimming and going on water slides and making Lego!En savoir plus

  • A funny wildlife day!

    27 avril 2015, Singapour ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

First I saw some lady peacocks fighting near the breakfast tables, they lost some feathers which I could collect. Then when a big storm started, a big thunderclap scared a male peacock on the roof! He jumped down and ran across the road shouting "aaaaaaaargh!" It was very funny. The coolest animal was a big monitor lizard who went swimming in the pool next to where we had lunch (in the rain!). We also had a great time riding the cable car between Sentosa Island and Singapore. Plus a lot more time in the pool! Even after dark!En savoir plus
