  • Remarkable Cave

    27 de septiembre de 2016, Australia ⋅ ⛅ 11 °C

Next we went to the Remarkable Cave. Luckily, it was actually remarkable because otherwise we would have been very disappointed! There were lots of stairs but it was worth it. You could see through the cave to the sea.Leer más

  • Port Arthur- we escaped!

    27 de septiembre de 2016, Australia ⋅ ⛅ 11 °C

Port Arthur was more fun than we expected. It was a lot of ruins that used to be a convict gaol. The prisoners had to build their own gaol and make their own bricks and iron bars! Life was tough there and there were even boys as young as 9 being punished there on a separate island for kids. It's all very broken because a bushfire wrecked a lot of it. The broken buildings had no roof so looked like a maze. The prison hospital looked horrible and the doctors and nurses were other prisoners! Sam tried on leg irons and they were NOT comfortable.Leer más

  • Through the rain and home again

    30 de septiembre de 2016, Bass Strait ⋅ ⛅ 34 °C

After one last swim ( and a spa to warm up a bit), we headed off to catch the boat. Stopping only for pancakes and toilets, we drove through heavy rain. Sometimes it was hard to see the road.
The boat was a bit wobbly! Mum gave us special medicine to stop getting sea sick. We had sick bags ready but luckily didn't need them.
In the morning we were very happy to be home. We could now play with our new and old toys.
