• Singapore to Malaysia

    April 7 in Malaysia ⋅ ☁️ 88 °F

Today we flew from Singapore to Georgetown Malaysia. When we woke up it was POURING, so we figured we got lucky with our travel day!

We opted to do breakfast at the airport using Chelsea’s airport lounge access, and were impressed with the quality of the food! This is one of the best airports we’ve been to by a mile!

We had an uneventful flight, and then went through customs and took a Grab to our hotel. Once we were settled in, we walked the local area.

Some highlights were Armenian Street(which was a colorful street lined with art and shops) and Little India which was the Indian district. We opted for dinner at DUAN at Georgetown, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. It was fun trying traditional Malaysian cuisine here.

To end the night we explored Chew Jetty, which was close to our hotel. This jetty is really unique, in that it is one of a couple of jetties on the island upon which locals live. These jetties are homes built on stilts rising from the water. It was a different way of life than we’d seen before, and it was super interesting seeing scooters and people rush by through the busy street through the jetty. There was even a large temple right on the jetty, and we could see smaller shrines inside the local’s homes.
