Milan to Bristol

Today we traveled from Milan to Bristol in the UK, and finally met up with the Warmerdams(or at least a few of them).

We started our day with packing at the hotel, and then walked from the hotel to the airport where we killed some time and enjoyed breakfast and coffee at a lounge. After an uneventful flight to Manchester, we picked up our new rental car, as well as Chris’ parents Matt and Carole who landed shortly after us. Once we had the group together, we took a long drive from Manchester to Bristol(3 hours!), and then got settled into our hotel for the next few days.

Once settled we walked to a local “carvery” which is a restaurant in the UK where meat is carved in front of you and you serve yourself buffet style. It was essentially a British Sizzler. The food was mediocre, but it was really fun going to the restaurant in general as it was in the suburbs, and it was a chain, so we got a really good sense for the locals. We got a ton of good people watching & listening in, in addition to some excellent conversation and reminiscing.

After enjoying catching up, we all walked back to the hotel and called it a night, as we have a big exploration day tomorrow!Baca selengkapnya
